We visited Les Oiseaux back in June 2023 and we still think about it weekly so I'm taking a minute to write a review. If you're reading this and considering a visit, the foccacia bread alone is enough to drop whatever you're doing and get a table. It is without question the best piece of bread I've ever had. Everything from appetizers to entrees to dessert was incredible. We especially loved the entrees; I highly recommend the venison. We sat outside and brought a bottle of wine. We had perfect weather, our server was great and very attentive, and I can't think of a single complaint. If you have just one night in Montreal, eat here.

Great food, service and atmosphere! We ordered the tasting menu and we could tell how much effort went into every dish. The portion sizes were perfect. They were accommodating to one of our party members' dietary restrictions. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had a great time at Les Oiseaux de Passage. The food is creative fusion in our opinion, with interesting twists to the traditional French cuisine. We ordered the maple salmon, foie gras, mushroom risotto, lamb shank, guinea fowl, and creme brulee. Every single dish was delightfully tasty and flavorful. The salmon was light and the bok choy gave it a balanced taste with other garnishes like tomatoes that balance the palate. The mushroom risotto is creamy and chewy. The lamb shank is so tender, and guinea fowl had the meat almost melting from the bones. The creme brulee is not overpowering with sugar and the chocolate covered pear made a unique and rich combo. Service is superb as the owner is also the waiter and truly cares about customer experience. Ambiance is simple yet romantic, and the open kitchen makes the experience intimate and memorable. As foodies who are particular about culinary adventures, we can't recommend this place enough for the carefully curated and prepared cuisine, intimate ambiance and superb service.

Delicious food, amazing service, and wonderful and friendly chef! The food was prepared with much care and was exceptionally fresh. I really loved the curry bread that was offered when I went, and it was overall a lovely experience. Highly recommend!

What a meal ! Where do I start ? The team is so nice & you can feel how they are dedicated to their cuisine. You can tell from the beginning the effort and attention with each course. We ordered for the duck which is always difficult to cook and it was delicious ! They are offering a take out experience really on another level, very few places in Montreal succeed at it and we can only assure you that this place does it well. Every container is served with additional sauce , extra bread , extra cheese , extra everything !!! I would love to go and eat there once this pandemic is over. I would love to ask them questions throughout the meal which is a whole experience itself. We recommend the 5 course meal. Every dish is so generously served. It was my partners birthday and she is so happy to finish the day with your meal guys ! Congrats and wish you the best , until next time

My husband and I had such a lovely time at Les Oiseaux. The food is traditional French cuisine but elevated. The duck breast was delightfully tasty and flavorful. And you have to try the squash soup omg The creme brulee is perfection.. Service is so great too we’ll be back

My new favourite restaurant in Montreal, Les Oiseaux is a masterclass in culinary expression that feels like home. Offering French cuisine, each dish has an attention to detail and care that is so much like eating at a Chef's house: the familiarity that Julien and Guillaume lend to the atmosphere make the dining experience intimate, joyous, and delightful. And, they've perfected a small menu that demonstrates a breadth of French flavours that will make return visits similarly delicious excursions; quite simply - the food is downright incredible. To add to this remarkable experience, they're also a "Bring Your Own Wine" establishment, so you can patronize the entire menu with your own selection of wines, conveniently sourced from the SAQ around the corner - we opted for bottles from Burgundy and Cotes du Rhone - and eat and drink to your heart's content (or until close hahaha). Perfect for a group of 4 (like us), or a 3rd date, or anniversary, or "that one special place you always go to while you're in town" - book a dinner reservation, stop off at the SAQ for a bottle or two, order the seasonal appetizer and dessert, eat all of the homemade bread that they bake daily, and get the lamb shank! They've created a place that is truly great.
